Bad Luck.

British weather let us down unfortunately.

Last Sunday we suppose to do the Photo shooting for the album cover, website..etc, but it's been cancelled.
Most of the last week was cloudy and rain more or less so around middle of the week we agreed to cancel it because the Photographer had to travel from up north for the whole weekend.

And guess what...Saturday morning was cloudy, then started raining again all the way up to about 4:00pm then it stopped and within an hour the sun came up and the sky was clear.
If the roads were not wet after all that rain, you would've thought it never rained.
Finally the next day it was dry with a few clouds for the best part of the day..

At first we thought it wasn't fare for the Photographer to come all the way down and spend his weekend in Hertfordshire for nothing and it ended up not being fare on us losing that day for nothing, just because the weather forecast's predictions were wrong.
Typical.

The next date it's going to be near the end of the month but I guess this time we'll have to do it no matter what otherwise the CD and the website, wont be ready on time as planned.

Anyway...    

So Brilliant!!!!!!!

Yesterday was the last part of recordings and had to do with the backing Vocals!
We also did a basic sort of mixing!
I just couldn't believe my ears. I never thought that the backing Vocals would give the tracks such a brilliant emotion and power. Honestly I felt like I was listening to another band!!!

The next step is the photo shooting on Sunday and then a couple of weeks Holidays and once everyone gets back then do the final mixing and of course the Mastering.

By then of course the CD Booklet will be ready as well!!!
Actually it's almost ready (Background colours, logos....etc) all im waiting for is to add some of the Photos and the Lyrics!

Recording part 4

Another bit is done!
Yesterday was the Vocalist's turn and all i can say is that she nailed it!
I just couldn't believe my ears!!!
In general every time we rehearse i can't hear the vocals very clear because of the ear phones im using but my band mates always kept telling me that she has a very good voice and always in tune.
Well,to be honest,yes i trust their opinion but on the other hand if you don't listen for yourself then obviusly you ll still have some doubts and that's natural,especially if you have some bad experience from the past.
Well,yesterday all my doubts disappeared just like that!
What a crystal clear and melodic voice!!!!I was absolutely speachless!
So yesterday she got all her parts done including harmonies and now the last thing left to be done this Saturday or Sunday will be the backing Vocals by Guitarist and Bassist!!!
